Rachna is brought up in a very traditional and conservative manner in a middle class Banaras household.

Rab Se Sona Ishq is a coss-continental love story aimed at today's "global" Indian. Rab Se Sona Isshq is story of Saahiba, who deserted by the man of her dreams on the day of their wedding, follows her heart and chases him across continents. Her journey of hope rests on her conviction that their love is real and will last forever. The show also captures the "larger-than-life" illusions and tells the story of starry-eyed migrant Indians who land up in London with a million dreams, the channel said.

The story is based on the life of a middle-class Maharashtrian young woman Archana (eldest of three sisters), whose mom wants her daughter's life to settle fast. After many issues, Archana is finally married to her soul-mate, middle-class Manav Deshmukh. She makes every attempt to win over the love of her in-laws, and she succeeds. She has hard times because of the lack of money, but together Manav and Archana face them all. Their marriage was broken due to misunderstandings, and Manav's mom started hating Archana.
